UNIVERSAL VOID

In 2009 the band UNIVERSAL VOID was formed in a basement by Scott, Sean, and Kat Grealish.  By 2013 the group became a solo project with Scott writing and recording all lyrics and music.  Scott uses Garage Band software in his home studio to record his piano, synth, guitar, bass and vocal tracks.  Beats are customized loops he creates.

The RealUnreal Album was recorded in 2022.  It's a mix of alternative, blues, ballads, electronica and guitar driven music.  Conceptually it's a "Space Opera" touching themes of exploration, alienation, loss and discovery.

Chaos is an EP from 2023 with a guitar driven punk ethos.  Intentionally  LoFi/Garage sounding to convey the energy of lyrics challenging the status quo.

The Darkness project evolved quickly in early 2024 from a desire to work in downtempo beats, explore new vocal styling, and dig deeper lyrically looking at questions of relationship, morality, and emotion.

LIGHT is an EP with tracks from 2022-2024.  Influences from The Cure, The Doors, and Trip-hop are heard in these jams, along with a tongue in cheek REDUX of one of my own favorite punk songs.

Epitaph is a alt rock social commentary EP from 2024.  Sign of the times.

Metamorphosis followed in 2024 as a lighter alternative piece, exploring a range of sub-genres.

Back in 2012 I made an album entirely on one of the first iPads, manually playing chords, beats etc.
